Why Teratai Jauhari

What makes our approach different from general financial resources

Built for Learners at Midlife

Every lesson is written with someone in their 40s or 50s in mind. Pacing, vocabulary, and examples reflect where you are in life — not where a 25-year-old might be starting.

Honest, Descriptive Content

We describe financial products as they are, not as they are marketed. Our instructors have no incentive to promote any particular product or provider.

Malaysian Context Throughout

Content is grounded in Malaysian law, institutions, and cultural context — including Shariah-compliant options, EPF, PTPTN, and Bursa Malaysia-listed instruments.

Self-Paced, Flexible Study

Short lessons, audio alternatives, and no live session requirements mean you can study around your existing commitments — in the morning, during lunch, or whenever suits you.

Personal Advisory Access

Our longer programme includes one-to-one advisory sessions so you can apply what you have learned to your specific circumstances, not just a generic scenario.

Privacy and Discretion

Your financial questions are personal. All discussions remain strictly between you and our team. We never share participant information with third parties.

Questions

Things people commonly ask before enrolling

Do I need any financial background to start?

No prior knowledge is required. Our first course — First Steps Back into Financial Study — is specifically designed for people who feel they need to start from the beginning. If you are unsure which level suits you, get in touch and we can guide you.

Are courses available in Bahasa Malaysia?

Our courses are currently delivered in English, with Malaysian terminology and context throughout. We are developing supplementary materials in Bahasa Malaysia and will announce their availability in due course.

How long do I have access to course materials?

Enrolled participants retain access to all lesson materials for twelve months from the date of enrolment. The printed welcome booklet included in Course 01 is yours to keep.

Is the content suitable for those considering retirement?

Absolutely. Planning the Next Twenty-Five Years is designed specifically for those approaching or thinking ahead toward retirement. It covers the transition period in detail, including EPF withdrawal strategies, healthcare cost planning, and phased financial arrangements.

How do the one-to-one advisory sessions work?

The four sessions included in Planning the Next Twenty-Five Years are scheduled at intervals across the programme. Each session is one hour, conducted via video call or in person at our Melaka office, and focuses on your specific situation rather than general scenarios.

What is your refund or withdrawal policy?

If you need to withdraw before accessing any course content, we will refund the full amount. After accessing materials, our refund policy is outlined in the Terms & Conditions. Please contact us directly if circumstances change — we will do our best to accommodate you.
